OPGW Stringing Procedure

Plan and design:

This includes determining routes, measuring distances, assessing terrain and environmental conditions, and designing support structures and mounting points.

Install the support structure:

Install support structures such as power towers, poles, or other supports along identified routes.

Pull cord:

Wiring refers to the process of pulling OPGW fiber optic cable from one support structure to another. This step requires the use of professional cable pulling equipment and tools to ensure that the optical cable is not damaged during the installation process.

Connecting and fastening:

After the optical cable pulling is completed, connect and fix it. This includes connecting fiber optic cables and ground wires to each support structure and using appropriate clamps or fixtures to secure the fiber optic cables to ensure they are stable and secure.

Testing and Debugging:

After the installation is complete, perform testing and debugging. This includes checking the electrical connections at each connection point, fiber optic connections and overall system performance. If necessary, conduct fiber optic cable testing and adjustments to ensure proper system operation.
